Robin Miller often serves as a GAL for child custody cases in DuPage County. A GAL is a representative who protects the child’s interests in court. They can be requested by either parent or appointed by a judge.

A GAL may be appointed in any case involving the welfare of a child, whether it is custody, visitation or domestic/child abuse. The GAL will investigate the facts of the case and report to the court via written report or testimony. The GAL becomes the eyes and ears of the Court. She will make recommendations to the judge based on the findings of the investigation.
